Daily photos of Sunny

"It was raining outside and i did not came in early as i can."
"Let's take a bath."
"But.. Okay.."

She was sick and lose her weight on 5 months old.

"Will you stay here longer than yesterday?"
"Ok stay more 10 minutes."

"It's too short. Bring me back home."
" The day after tomorrow."

She had discharged from Bettie clince after ligation operation.

She loves to go for beach a walk.

Those puffy cheeky face. I went home at midnight 12 o'clock and she still waiting me.

"Scissors legs"

Dog is always lovely. They willing to be your listener when you're talking to them.
They can know our feeling through words. And this was her expression when I said " We're going to Lutong Beach
only if Weather is fine."

First and A must Training when Sunny was 4 months old.

After bath, she took a nap instead of just finished 'bath war' ..

Whenever I craving food in the kitchen, she will always be like that..

This is her new toy and first game once i step in home!

Sunny's Postoperative Tubal Ligation

I heard a lots pros and cons of canine's tubal ligation before i decided to bring Sunny for tubal ligation.

Ligation should be the best way for canines.

In my opinion, i could not imagine i have to force myself to give/sell/throw my dog's new borns puppies due to environment does not allow.

Secondly, tubal ligation is the best solution to prevent my dog be contagious by any disease through mating process with other dog.

Based on my experience with Sunny's tubal ligation I truly believe that the postoperative recovery is actually going to be much easier for your dog than it will be for you.

First day after Sunny's ligation surgery, i went to visit her. She looked unhappy and i was worried what could happen after this.

Dr Bettie told me to be patience. She explained that Dogs are survivors. They don't sulk or complain, they take what there is and make the best of it. They have an amazing ability to adapt and make things work. This is probably one of the times when the difference between a dog and a human attitude is the most profound.

The moment of the surgery your dog is on his way to get well. I visit Sunny 3 days after her operation. Every time i will tell her to be patience and patience, and tell her how many days left to back home. I can see her face shining all the time, especially i tell her she is going to discharge from the clinic.

She not wearing 'big horn' after 5 days surgery.

Sunny finally back home after 10 days. I prepared a new comfortable mattress for her and put it somewhere near to the air conditioner. This will make she feels more comfortable all the time. Sunny will not allowed to use stairs. She only be restricted to the main floor for some time. I blocked the stairs by using plywood to prevent she steps up in the midnight.

I avoided slippery surface on the main floor. Golden Retriever loves to run around the house and most of them time they get slipped down because of the slippery surface. It can be a danger for post operation dog. I will also keep an eye on incision. Do not allowed your dog lick on the wound, make sure the wound is always clean and dry. This could make your dog facing another trouble after this especially wound infection.

I used to spend my evening moments with Sunny during that time. I walk her in my house residence, trained her to be walk slowly and steady. I will also avoided to let her lay down or get on the ground.

Post-operation recovery process is around 2 - 4 weeks. It depends on how you arrange the schedule with your dog religiously.

Dairy cares should be repeat and repeat for your pet to make sure they can always avoid from disease and injure.

Sunny met her new friends!

On April 2013, I participated a Dog-a-Walk event together with Sunny, which is organised by PAWS Miri.

This event was located at Piasau Boat Club, the cleanest beach in Miri.

The Paws Dog-A-Walk is an event where all canine lovers come together and walk their dog.

The organisers are willing to arrange a dog for those do not have a dog and would like to join this event, but only if they inform early before the event.

They invited all canine breeds, which is no matter toy, large breeds or local dogs.

Dog lovers need to bring water bowl and poop bags for their canines.

Sunny excited to meet her 'sister'! They are same breed and Sunny have a lighter golden fur compare to her 'sister'.

Sunny was not afraid, she just want to get closer with her 'sister'.

There were more than 40 canines joined this event.

Dog lovers get ready for a short walk with their canine.

Dogs without leash are prohibited during the event. However, 3 canines never leave their owner but following behind her.

Event finished smoothly and peacefully after two and a half hours.

Sunny was accidentally fall asleep in the car.

This event should be organised frequently, because this is a healthy habit for dog lovers with their canines.

The Golden Retriever is a sturdy, medium-large sized dog.

Its origin from Scottish Highland in 19th century.

The skull is broad and the muzzle is straight, tapering slightly with a well-defined stop.

The nose is black or a brownish black.

The teeth meet in a scissors bite.

When pulled forward the tip of the ear should just cover the eye.

The tail is thick at the base with feathering along the underside.

There is an untrimmed feathering on the underbelly, back of the legs, front of the neck and underside of the tail.

Coat color comes in cream to a rich golden. By year to year, golden retriever will grow even deep golden fur color, depends on the environment and the weather of certain places.

They are Charming, devoted and self-assured, they are a popular family dog.

Energetic and loving, Golden Retrievers enjoy pleasing their masters, so obedience training can be very rewarding.

They can be Friendly with everyone, including other dogs, the Golden Retriever has very little, if any, guarding instincts.

While unlikely to attack, Goldens make good watchdogs, loudly signaling a stranger's approach.

This breed needs to be around people who display leadership to be happy.

The Golden Retriever may become destructive and/or high-strung, over-exuberant and distractible if he is lacking in daily mental and daily exercise.

The smooth, medium-haired double coat is easy to groom.

Comb and brush with a firm bristle brush, paying particular attention to the dense undercoat. Dry shampoo regularly, but bathe only when necessary.
